individual analysis of a simular short film+and screen shots
In terms of mise en scene the choice of background showed he was at a peacefull place where he could think about things and reflect on them, the lighting and colour in the scenes where the girls in seemed to getting brghter showing she in a sense brings the light inot his life, the music aslo got faster and more down to eath when she first appeared which also represents how she plays a big roll in his life and brings a happy feel with her. the body language of the two showed thier love for eachother, they were always looking into eachothers eyes and the awkwardness that sometimes is there in a love scene wasnt. The costume and design told us that they were just young average people probably in a middle class lifestle. The use of special effects is used in the scene where the backgrounds flashing to create a a new feel for the audience, it no longer looks like a quiet/slow paced film which again highlights the changes she has made in his life. There was a number of shots throughout the film clip, the canted angle when hes sat at the top of the mountains showed he was in a unbalanced world which could again show how hes in two different worlds, one when hes alone and another when hes with the girl he loves. A high angle and a close up is used on the flower to show the importance, it gives the audience a idea that the film is going to realate to a female as a flower tends to be assosicated with women. A establishing shot is used when he is on the mountain to establish the location, so the audience can see his entire location. the most frequent use of editing throughout the film is cutting, shotv reverse shot is also used between the girk and the boy. a cut away is used when one minute hes on the mountains and next minute hes with her, it cuts to something totally different.
