Radio stations make most of their profits by selling air time to people who wantto advertise their products. A business can exchange money in order for theiradvertisements or spots to be mentioned on air.
This is an example of a Radio Spot for the film Alien. It uses music that relates to the film. Also it says information about the certificate of the audience that can view the film.

individual analysis of a title sequence+and screen shots
This particular tittle sequence was very eye catching to me however i did find it wasnt simple enough, there was too much going on which was taking the attention away from the actual tittles. The sound and music howver goes really well with that particular film, with the sound being about 'time' which is what the theme of the film is. The story and narrative isnt very clear but certain factors gives off some ideas. the love hearts etc make the audience pic up on that the tittle 'date and time' isnt the calender kind of date but the kind of date you would go on. this is because love hearts automatically conotate to love and passion. The tittle started off quite bold when introducing the production etc but as it went on and the names came on they started to blend in with the background making it difficult to read.
individual analysis of a simular short film+and screen shots
In terms of mise en scene the choice of background showed he was at a peacefull place where he could think about things and reflect on them, the lighting and colour in the scenes where the girls in seemed to getting brghter showing she in a sense brings the light inot his life, the music aslo got faster and more down to eath when she first appeared which also represents how she plays a big roll in his life and brings a happy feel with her. the body language of the two showed thier love for eachother, they were always looking into eachothers eyes and the awkwardness that sometimes is there in a love scene wasnt. The costume and design told us that they were just young average people probably in a middle class lifestle. The use of special effects is used in the scene where the backgrounds flashing to create a a new feel for the audience, it no longer looks like a quiet/slow paced film which again highlights the changes she has made in his life. There was a number of shots throughout the film clip, the canted angle when hes sat at the top of the mountains showed he was in a unbalanced world which could again show how hes in two different worlds, one when hes alone and another when hes with the girl he loves. A high angle and a close up is used on the flower to show the importance, it gives the audience a idea that the film is going to realate to a female as a flower tends to be assosicated with women. A establishing shot is used when he is on the mountain to establish the location, so the audience can see his entire location. the most frequent use of editing throughout the film is cutting, shotv reverse shot is also used between the girk and the boy. a cut away is used when one minute hes on the mountains and next minute hes with her, it cuts to something totally different.

Tricky shots/edits/effects
When making our final product we had a few problems, for example we struggled to get a shot of him running up the stairs without it going shaky so we decided not to use this hot and decided to do a long shot catching him run from the bottom up to the top.
We also had the odd occasion whee we had to re film shts because of distractions, an example being the park scene where the boy and girl are talking, there was a lawn mower noise in the background meaning we couldnt hear their voices very clearly. Because of this we had to go film another scene and film that particualr scene on another day, we had a simular problem on the bench scene however this time a aeroplane was going by meaning we had to re film that shot.
One of the main problems we had were not realising our shots didnt match, the secne where the girls laid on sofa ringing her friends. She had her leg up in some shots down in others meaning we couldnt match the medium shots and the long shots up correctly. Because of this we had to plan another filming day and film it all again to make sure this time we kept every shot the same.

POSTER DRAFT
EQUIPMENT AND RESOURCES

Throughout our A2 project we were lucky enough to have been provided with the best resources to ensure our film would be at the highest standard possible. First of all the MAC's had a range of software's to help create our final products.
Final cut was vital when making our film, we used this throughout the whole of the process to edit our film and also to create the title sequences for the beginning and the end of the film. Photopshop was also very important. This was what we not only made our production logo on but also what our draft and final poster was created on and finally Garage Band. This was used for the radio trailer, this made it very easy to put all the voice clips and sound clips together and create the final radio advert. without these resources our end poducts would have never have been to the standard that they are now
We were also working with the best equipment, provided with a HDV-1000 video camera that gives up to 20% optical zoom for filming and a Zoom recorder, that is very easy to use and records sounds very clear and to the highest standards, this was used to create our radio trailer. It recorded the voice over and then very easily put onto garage band ready for us to edit.
Film title ideas
When creating a title for a film i had a number of idea, trying not to sound to cliche but enough to make the genre of the film clear to the audience. I think that the title of the film should easily relate to the story line, for example:
-Titanic, this was named this purely because its the name of the ship, being a simple yet very 'to the point' title.
-valentines day, the film title is the day that the entire film is based on, again being a simple yet to the point title.
-Mean girl, a title that tells us very little about the story line but the audience are aware this would be a common 'bitchy chick flick'
We came up with a number of names for our film between us:
-The unbreakable Bond
-Together forver
-Our Love story
-The Perfect Match
-The beak up & Make up
We had a vote in our group and asked other class members which name they preferred in the end we decided to name our film 'THE PERFECT MATCH' this was actually based on a film staring Hillary Duff named 'The perfect Man' our film title links to our film very well as the idea of the film is that the dating site eventually led her back to her ex boyfriend and in the arms of her 'ideal man'.

RADIO TRAILER SCRIPT
When making our radio trailer we created a script to what would be said, what voice clips would be used from our film and also what extra sounds or music we would use.
VOICE OVER:
'its true what they say' (1second pause)
'you never know what you've got until its gone' (2second pause)
CLIP FROM FILM:
'me and Josh have finished' (1 second pause)
VOICE OVER:
'the story of a boy and girl who realize they were made for each other. The perfect match. A romantic drama, where fate brings them back together again (1 second pause)
VOICE OVER:
'from crown productions'
SOUND CLIP:
'TING'
VOICE OVER:
'COMING TO A CINEMA NEAR YOU THIS SUMMER' (1 second pause)
VOICE OVER:
'MWAH'
BACKGROUND MUSIC:
A calm soft background sound will be played under the voice over, sound clips and film clips.

VIRAL ADVERT IDEAS (Match.com - Viral Funny Advert)
This is an example of a viral advert that would very easily relate to our film, with it being for match.com. Therefore this would also be a good idea for us to base our viral avert on. By making it funny it would vary from other typical love film viral's.
My idea for a viral would be to use the news report theme and have a news report on the couples breakup. Looking at the up's and down's of the couples relationship. The news reporter could approach the couples parents, friends and siblings to ask them of their views and whether they think the couple will be reunited. EG.
This could also be very ironic as many would say no and that the couple are moving on, which in our film they they think they are, however little do they know they have landed themselves back in the arms of each other.
POSTER IDEAS

I chose all the above poster idea's because they are very simple and to the point. I want my poster to be short yet snappy, to stand out and to create a impact on the audience almost straight away. I also liked the way that all these posters were set out because of how none of them really give away too much. The genre of the film stands out but the story line remains more of a suspense. They also all share the same boy/girl theme, instantly telling the audience the film will be based on a boy and a girl, usually ending with a typical love story. In my final poster i'm aiming to stay away from the typical hearts etc, instead to create the softness i'm going to try use soft colors to give it that 'love film' kind of appeal.
